history

“A history that spans three generations”

It all started over 100 years ago on an island that smells like oranges and the sea. Giovanni Giuffré’s hands are great and wise and are always busy kneading, creating, adding a personal touch. They are the early twentieth century and there is no person in the province of Messina who does not know his sweet creations and is not in love with his creams. Years go by, in the air the same scent of oranges, around the sea of the same island. We are in the 50s, still in Messina, in the beautiful Sicily. The hands of Giovanni are flanked by those of Stellario, his son, and with him the passion continues, is amplified, ends up on everyone’s lips. Confectioners and ice-cream makers from all over Italy arrive down to Sicily, at the court of Giuffrè, to learn the art of making sweets and do it with love.

Alessandro Giuffre is the great-grandson of Giovanni, and Stellario is his grandfather. He was born in Rome, far from the orange trees and the smell of the sea. But the passions are known, they are handed down even stronger than a surname and Alexander.

The desire to create wonders for the palate has it in your blood. Learn from his story, learn the art that made his surname great and bring all this to the heart of the metropolis.
In 2018 Giuffrè was born, ice cream and pastry. A place where the art of ice cream and desserts is that of the past. Like the passion. A passion for three generations, all in an ice cream.

To create an excellent ice cream you need a lot of passion and few words. On the contrary, one is enough.

    Our ice cream is made only of natural ingredients and in total respect of the environment. From fresh milk and zero km of Lazio farms, to the seasonal fruits protagonists of our constantly evolving menu.

    That’s why we choose only excellent raw materials, because that’s where quality comes from. Regional excellences, organic products, original recipes and creativity.
    That your favorite taste was born in South America as an intense cocoa, which has grown in Piedmont as a PGI Hazelnut or has taken the sun in Sorrento as a DOP Lemon, you can be sure of one thing: it will always be a wonderful “journey”.
